TROY HAMMOND, Chief Executive Officer
Troy Hammond is the Chief Executive Officer and leads company strategy, operations, and growth initiatives. Hammond has 27 years of business leadership experience including McKinsey’s energy practice, building Plextronics’ solar and lighting materials technology, leading the energy demand management business of Bluestar, and as President of North Central College. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from MIT.
JOHN KIVLIN, Chief Operating Officer
John Kivlin is Chief Operating Officer and directs the engineering and technical operations of the firm’s complex client engagements. Prior to founding Convergence Energy, John was the COO of Helios Solar Works, a made-in-the-USA solar module manufacturer located in Milwaukee, WI. In addition, prior to being a founding member of Helios, John led manufacturing, distribution and IT efforts at Motorola.
STEVE JOHNSON, Chief Revenue Officer
Steve Johnson is Chief Revenue Officer and directs the sales, business development, and customer engagement aspects of the company. Steve has 30 years of experience in sales and business development. He gives nothing less than exceptional service and a unique and memorable experience to all who deal with him.
BRIAN MOORE, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Brian Moore leads and manages the financial initiatives of the company. Brian has over 35 years of financial and technology experience both as an advisor and CPA. He was with KPMG for 10+ years advising clients like NeXT Computers, c|net, and the Golden State Warriors. He has extensive international experience managing finance and operations in 30 countries with over $300M in revenue for Rational Software.
LESLIE PERLS, Chief Marketing Officer
Leslie Perls oversees marketing and brand presence for CE by bringing clarity and passion to all communications, regardless of tactic. As a former successful agency owner she brings a wealth of experience to the B2B and business development arenas, helping to develop and grow brands in innovative and meaningful ways. Leslie understands the core tenants for solid communications. And she’s also business savvy, rational, funny, and kind.
TOM MARTIN, Co-Founder
Tom Martin is co-founder of Convergence Energy. He currently directs the financial and corporate strategies. He is also CEO of Convergence Equity, a venture capital firm specializing in technology and marketing-driven startups. Prior to founding Convergence Equity, Tom worked for Dell Computer Corporation. At Dell, he was Vice President of marketing and business development from 1991-2000.
STEVE THIEL, Director of Engineering
Steve Thiel is Director of Engineering and manages engineering and interconnection activities for the company’s commercial and industrial customers. Steve has more than 30 years of experience in transmission and distribution engineering. He holds an MSEE degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology and is a registered Professional Engineer.
