Medical Center Company (MCCo)

The Medical Center Company (MCCo) was formed in 1932 as a not-for-profit corporation in an effort to consolidate and conserve energy distribution within the non-profit corporations of University Circle. With a focus on reliability, sustainability and efficiency, MCCo has recognized the importance of integrating renewable energy sources and energy management into its energy portfolio to further enhance its member's mission.

CE developed a solution integrating 8 battery energy storage systems (BESS) with software designed to optimize and dispatch the units with the goals of earning revenue from providing services to the grid, saving the customer cost on its electric energy and utility bills, and protecting their operations by using the BESS for back-up supply in the event of and grid outage.
