G&W Electric

The 2MW solar array, 2MW CellCube ESS, 2MW generator and 1.3MW flywheel is one of the largest customer owned microgrids in Illinois. In addition to providing resiliency to G&W’s manufacturing processes, the ESS also participates in PJM’s wholesale power market providing revenue generation and bill savings opportunities. The microgrid also serves as a business development platform for G&W.
